LOOKING FORWARD
8 September 2011, Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary
My dear people,
Grace and peace be unto you in the Name of God the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ as the Church Catholic celebrates the Nativity of Our Lady, the chosen vessel whose "Be it unto me, according to thy Word" gave us the Incarnate Son of God as the Savior of the world.
The Blessed John Henry Newman Fellowship will gather again this coming Sunday (September 11th) at the home of Mary Ann McCluney, 131 West Conestoga Road in Devon-Berwyn for Mass at 10:00 a.m. I know that many people were unable to be with us on Labor Day weekend, or didn’t get the word in time. Please stay informed by checking regularly at this website.
I am pleased to inform you that a non-profit vehicle has been founded as a Charitable Trust for contributions – The Fellowship of Blessed John Henry Newman. For those of you who have been withholding funds and/or are eager to give your support, please make checks payable to the "Newman Fellowship." Please bring them with you on Sunday or mail them to the Fellowship’s Treasurer, Mr. John A. Heidengren, 165 Monmouth Circle, Berwyn, PA 19312.
On Sunday September 18th (the Solemnity of the Feast of the Holy Cross) it is probable that we will gather at the Bryn Mawr Fire Station. Again, check the website the Friday before the 18th. There will be a brief meeting following the Mass to share and discuss with you what is unfolding, in regard to communications, location, finance, and education - as well as the many areas of ministry which will require the involvement of ALL!
Please do not hesitate to call me at 610-525-9583, if you have questions or concerns.
I close in saying that the opportunity and challenge before us is to look forward, not backward – to put our hands to the plow, and to walk with Jesus into a new corporate life in which we are to be open, in order to discover, learn, and grow. We are to give ourselves unreservedly to the path God the Holy Spirit is charting for us. It’s all very exciting, and will bear abundant fruit for our benefit, our future, and for the glory of God.
I am most thankfully yours and
Faithfully in Christ Jesus,
+David L. Moyer
